Transferring to Eureka College

Eureka College and MacMurray College have partnered together during this time to provide a pathway for MacMurray College students to transfer to Eureka College seamlessly. It is our hope that we can make this transition as easy as possible for all students that are impacted by the closure of MacMurray College.

Please see the information provided below as a starting point to answer some of your initial questions that you might have. We hope to see you on campus this Fall!

Let's Get Started

How do I apply for admission to Eureka College?

Our application process is simple! Below are the steps to finish the application process for MacMurray College students interested in transferring to Eureka College.

  • Complete the Eureka College online application by visiting: https://www.eureka.edu/transfer
  • Have your official MacMurray College transcript (and any other official transcripts from colleges you’ve attended) sent to: admissions@eureka.edu or mail them to Eureka College, Attn: Admissions, 300 E. College Avenue, Eureka, IL 61530.

That’s it! As soon as your online application has been submitted, you’ll hear from our Assistant Director of Transfer Admissions, Chris Robinson (crobinson@eureka.edu).

Will my MacMurray College credits transfer?

YES! Eureka College has equivalency guides for the following MacMurray College majors (listed below), which will help match your credits to Eureka College credits.

Accounting Art Biology

Business Administration

Chemistry Criminal Justice Elementary Education Philosophy/Religion
Psychology Special Education Sports Management

Other points of interest:

  • If you’ve taken a class at MacMurray that’s not on the equivalency guide, we’ll still consider accepting it, but it’s up to Eureka College’s discretion.

  • If you were close to graduating, we’ll still take your credit hours and make sure you graduate on time, just as you would have if you had stayed at MacMurray College.
    • This option may not be available for Elementary Education, Special Education, Philosophy, Political Science and Economics programs. Connect Chris Robinson in Admissions to learn more.

Once Eureka College Admissions office has received your transcript, we’ll perform a quick and thorough transcript evaluation within a couple of business days, we’ll be able to let you know where you would stand with classes transferring and time left to graduate.
